I'm Usman, a Software Engineer who recently graduated with a Master's in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

I'm passionate about building scalable, user-friendly web applications and constantly expanding my skillset with new technologies, frameworks, and tools. My experience spans full-stack development, data analysis, and IT support.

I'm skilled in Python, JavaScript, Java, SQL, and C/C++, and I frequently work with AWS, Tableau, Firebase, Git, and Unix. I've built production apps like a fantasy sports analytics platform, a real-time team time tracker, and a RAG chatbot using FastAPI, OpenAI, and Pinecone.

I also have a strong interest in cybersecurity. My background in systems programming, backend development, and client-server interactions has given me a solid foundation in secure coding, authentication, and protecting user data.
